Bihar minister and BJP leader Ramsurat Rai stirred a controversy with his remark over the Gyanvapi row. He said that “Muslims grabbed temples after fooling the gods”.

Bihar minister and BJP leader Ram Surat Rai made a controversial remark amidst the ongoing Gyanvapi controversy. He said that the “Muslims fooled the god and grabbed all the temples that belonged to the Hindus”.Citing an example of how Muslims welcome Hindus at their home by offering them to wear an Islamic cap, the BJP leader said that similarly, the “Muslims have fooled the gods (bhagwan ko topi pehna diya), annexed all the temples and built mosques over them”."Hindu brothers go to the houses of Muslim brothers on the occasion of Eid, then they offer us to wear caps the same way they have grabbed all the temples by fooling God and building mosques on them. This has been established," said Bihar Minister Ram Surat Rai.

Somewhere in the form of Radha Krishna, somewhere in the form of Shiva, somewhere in the form of Ram”, Ramsurat Rai said.Ramsurat Rai further added, “Muslims will automatically have to give up possession of that land in the coming days because that land belonged to Hindus.”“Today we are not snatching it, but the temple itself is emerging from the ground. In the coming days, they themselves will have to give up the possession of the land because that land is part of our ancestors and Hindu culture,” said Ramsurat Rai.
