Music composer Shravan tested Covid positive after visiting Kumbh with wife, says son

Shravan Rathod of music composer duo Nadeem-Shravan died of Covid-19 complications on Thursday (April 22). The late musician had visited the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar with his wife a few days before testing Covid-positive.

Music composer Shravan Rathod, who died of Covid-19 complications on Thursday (April 22), had visited the Kumbh Mela with his wife a few days ago. His son, Sanjeev Rathod, said that the late musician had complained of breathlessness on returning from the mela in Haridwar. Later, both of them tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Shravan and music director Nadeem Saifi were a popular composer jodi of the 90s. The duo was popularly known as Nadeem-Shravan. Shravan Rathod’s son Sanjeev, who is also fighting Covid-19 in Mumbai's Sevenhills hospital, told indianexpress.com that his father and mother had visited Kumbh Mela recently. He said that they returned from Haridwar a few days before testing positive for Covid-19. He said, “We had never thought our family would have to go through such tough times, my father passed away, I am Covid positive and so is my mother. My brother is also positive and is in home isolation, but since our father has died, he is being allowed to do the final procedures to do last rites for our father.”
