Mumbai reports 530 new Covid-19 cases, two deaths in last 24 hours

Mumbai recorded 530 fresh Covid-19 cases and two deaths on Friday while the active caseload in the city stood at 4,427.
As many as 530 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths were reported in Mumbai on Friday, taking the total tally to 11,17,897. Of the new cases, only 38 were symptomatic.
On the recovery front, 976 patients were discharged in a day, taking the total recovery count to 10,93,846. Meanwhile, the active caseload in the city stood at 4,427.

The recovery rate was 98 per cent and growth rate of cases between June 31 and July 7 was 0.061 per cent, according to the data by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Maharashtra on Friday reported 2,944 new Covid-19 cases and seven deaths, taking the state's overall tally to 79,98,673 and the toll to 1,47,971.
