Maharashtra health minister Rajesh Tope indicated on Sunday that if Covid-19 cases continue to decline in Maharashtra, the government may allow citizens with single vaccine doses to participate in all activities in opened up sectors after Diwali.
If Covid-19 cases continue to decline in Maharashtra, the government may allow citizens with single vaccine doses to participate in all activities in opened up sectors after Diwali, health minister Rajesh Tope indicated on Sunday.As per the current guidelines of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), citizens who have received both doses and have completed 14 days after the second dose are allowed in malls, theatres and local trains.
On Sunday, Mumbai reported zero Covid deaths for the first time since March 26, 2020. Given increasing herd immunity and declining cases, the state government is relaxing the restrictions. After opening schools, colleges, cinemas and theatres, the state government is now considering giving access to all places, even to those partially vaccinated.
