A special POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) court in Mumbai sentenced a 23-year-old man to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for the gangrape of a minor girl in 2017.
A special POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) court in Mumbai sentenced a 23-year-old man to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for the gangrape of a minor girl in 2017. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on the accused. The accused, identified as Mohammad Irshad alias Imran Kutbuddin, along with a juvenile raped the minor at his house on February 3, 2017. The victim, who was a 14-year-old at the time of the incident, testified in court that she was stopped by the convict while returning home from a local store with her younger sister. The accused asked the juvenile boy to drop the victim's sister home, and then dragged the victim to a nearby building and raped her.More Related News
