Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the rioters who pelted stones at a Ram Navami procession in Khargone on Sunday had been identified and the cost of the damage inflicted on public and private property would be recovered from them.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday said that the perpetrators of the communal violence that occurred on Sunday in Khargone had been identified and they will not be spared.
On Sunday, stones were pelted at a Ram Navami procession, prompting the police to fire tear gas shells to control the situation.

Khargone Additional Collector Sumer Singh Mujalde said: “The stone pelting triggered arson, in which several vehicles and houses were burnt”
Reacting to the incident, “The Khargone incident was unfortunate. The rioters will not be spared. Strictest action will be taken. There is no place for rioters in Madhya Pradesh. They have been identified. The action will not be limited to a jail term.”

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
