'More trust, transparency in defence sector than ever before': PM Modi

After dedicating seven new state-run defence firms to replacing the Ordnance Factory Board, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said a single-window system has been put in place instead of stagnant policies to develop India as a major producer of defence equipment.

For the first time since Independence, many major reforms were rolled out in India's defence sector and it has more transparency and trust than ever before, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday.
