Militants open fire, kill 2 CRPF jawans in J&K's Lawaypora

Two CRPF jawans were killed in action on the outskirts of J&K's Srinagar on Thursday when militants attacked a convoy of security personnel.
Militants attacked a convoy of CRPF personnel in Lawaypora, on the outskirts of Srinagar on Thursday. Two CRPF jawans were killed in action and another two suffered severe injuries, J&K Inspector General (IG) Vijay Kumar said. Initial inputs indicate that a group of militants opened fire at a CRPF convoy in Lawaypora area of Central Kashmir's Srinagar district. The incident took place at the Lawaypora Main Chowk. Two CRPF jawans suffered bullet wounds and were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment where they succumbed. Another two jawans are undergoing treatment.More Related News
