Mika Singh donates Rs 11 lakh to Rajpal Yadav, actor gets ad film offer
India Today
Mika Singh has offered financial support to actor Rajpal Yadav, who was recently sent to Tihar jail following a Delhi High Court order related to unpaid debts and cheque-bounce cases.
Singer Mika Singh has announced a contribution of Rs 11 lakhs to support actor and comedian Rajpal Yadav, who was sent to Tihar jail in connection with a cheque-bounce case. The development follows a Delhi High Court decision that denied further relief to Yadav in a long-standing debt dispute, leading to his surrender and imprisonment.
Other than Mika Singh, Yes Madan founder Mayan Arya also extended financial aid to Rajpal Yadav. Arya said that the company has offered an ad film to Yadav.
Rajpal Yadav’s financial difficulties stem from a loan of 5 crore taken in 2010 from Delhi-based Murali Projects Pvt Ltd to finance his directorial debut, Ata Pata Laapata (2012). The film’s commercial failure triggered a repayment crisis and legal action, culminating in Yadav’s conviction under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act in 2018.
Mika Singh is the latest among several celebrities, including Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Choudhary, and Guru Randhawa, to offer support to Yadav. Singh’s gesture is intended both as direct assistance and as encouragement for others in the industry to help. He reposted a post by a paparazzi account on his Instagram story that spoke about his contribution.
In another story, he had a special request for fans and celebs. "I am truly proud after my post. It feels amazing to see everyone coming together. This is the unity our industry is known for. But I have one humble request. Please don't just post announcements. Let's make sure we actually contribute and make it happen (sic)."
Mayan Arya also shared a post on X that read, "Seconded @SonuSood. Even brands should come forward to help the great talent.@Rajpalofficial will also be a part of an ad film @_yesmadam!Have already aligned the team on it.#ComeBackStronger (sic)."
