JSW MG Motor India has unveiled the MG Majestor, its new flagship SUV positioned above the Gloster and aimed at creating a fresh niche within the full-size SUV space. According to Anurag Mehrotra, MD, JSW MG Motor India, the traditional D-segment SUV market, currently estimated at 38,000–40,000 units annually has not evolved at the same pace as the luxury full-size SUV category. The Majestor is intended to bridge this gap by carving out what MG calls the emerging "D+ segment," offering greater size, presence and technology without stepping into luxury-brand pricing territory.
The MG Majestor makes an imposing first impression, with the brand claiming it to be the tallest, longest and widest SUV in its segment. The bold fascia is defined by a prominent Mosaic Matrix grille, flanked by distinctive ‘Dragon Eye’ DRLs and tri-beam LED headlamps.
Its upright proportions and wide stance are further accentuated by 19-inch dual-shade alloy wheels and muscular body contours.
At the rear, connected LED tail lamps enhance the SUV’s width visually, while the overall silhouette reflects its body-on-frame credentials and strong road presence.
Inside, MG has developed what it calls the ‘M-Lounge’ experience, focused heavily on comfort and premium appeal. The cabin features smoked ebony interiors, soft-touch surfaces and layered detailing aimed at enhancing the sense of space.
The SUV offers both 6- and 7-seater configurations. The boot space is 343 litres with the third row folded, boot space expands up to 1,350 litres. Additional storage solutions, including double-decker storage spaces, add to everyday usability.
