In a move that rocked the soccer world, Barcelona legend Lionel Messi has signed up with Paris St Germain to don a different club’s jersey for the first time ever in his career. It is now being reported that a part of Messi’s fee at PSG will be paid in a form of cryptocurrency. Messi will be paid this "significant" amount in the form of fan tokens, a type of NFT (non-fungible token) that is a digital-only asset. Such a form of cryptocurrency allows holders to show their support to the club.
