
Mentally ill son kills mom with dumbbell in Hyderabad for asking him to stop exercising

Sudheer killed his mom with a dumbbell when she asked him to stop working out at 2 am on Monday. He also injured his sister when she tried to intervene and save their mother.
A mentally ill man killed his mother with a dumbbell and attacked his sister, who tried to save their mother, at Sultan Bazar in Telangana’s Hyderabad on Monday, January 24.
The son, Konda Sudheer Kumar (24), was upset that his mother, Konda Papamma, asked him to stop working out at 2 am. He attacked his mother with a dumbbell and injured his sister Suchitra, when she came to save their mother.
Police say that Suchitra only sustained injuries and is out of danger. They have also said that Sudheer will be arrested.
Sudheer worked as a food delivery agent after completing graduation. But he left the job a year ago and was staying at home.
During their investigations, police found out that Sudheer was mentally ill and had recently started taking treatment at a private hospital. He had been staying with his mother and sister for the last seven years after his father died.
