Meghalaya govt relaxes curfew in Shillong for 12 hours on Aug 20

The Meghalaya government on Thursday relaxed the curfew in Shillong for 12 hours on August 20.

The Meghalaya government has eased the curfew in Shillong Agglomeration for August 20. The curfew was imposed following the unrest over the death of former insurgent Cheristerfield Thangkhiew. The curfew has been lifted for 12 hours -- from 5 am till 6 pm on Friday, a government notice stated.
