Mumbai court dismisses 'Me Too' case against Nana Patekar, citing delay in filing and lack of evidence.
In a relief to actor Nana Patekar and others accused in the ‘Me Too’ case filed by actor Tanushree Dutta, Mumbai’s Andheri court has dismissed the case, citing the complaint was filed beyond the period of limitation and has no mention of reasons behind the delay.
The court in one of the two incidents mentioned in FIR, ordered that the “alleged first incidence cannot be said to be false nor can be said as true.” The investigating officer’s summary report cannot be considered due to the legal bar on taking cognisance, so the final report has been disposed of. Court dismissed proceedings in the second incident.
