A massive fire broke out in Assam’s Dhemaji market area on Friday night. The incident took place at Silapathar market area where several shops were gutted by fire.

Properties worth several lakh rupees were gutted in the fire. There is no report of any casualties so far.
Fire tenders were immediately pressed into service and it took around an hour for firefighters to douse the flames.
