Speaking at ‘MIR NetZero Vision 2047 Summit’ organised by Italy’s MIR Group here on Friday, Capt. Chowta said that 90 % of the project is complete now.
“I have already spoken to the Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers J. P. Nadda to give a date for its inauguration. Hopefully, we will be able to inaugurate it before monsoon,” the MP said.
According to Gokuldas Nayak, Joint Director, District Industries Centre, Mangaluru the park is spread over 104 acres. It has 50 sites developed on 60 acres.
The government had approved the park in January, 2022. Of the ₹62.77 crore project cost, the Union government’s approved share stood at ₹31.38 crore.
Anupriya Patel, Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers, told the Rajya Sabha on July 29, 2025 that on completion, the project is expected to generate direct employment opportunities for about 4,000 people and indirect employment for about 12,000.
