
Man faces multiple firearm and assault charges after shooting in Corner Brook

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says 36-year-old Scott King, has been arrested following a shooting on Monday inside a home in Corner Brook.
In a statement, the RNC said officers responded to a disturbance at a home on Parkwood Drive around 11:30 p.m. NT. King is said to have unlawfully entered a home and discharged a firearm.
The RNC said a male was found with injuries "consistent with a gunshot wound." The man was taken to the hospital, but the injuries are not believed to be life threatening, according to police.
King was arrested on Tuesday, and is facing multiple assault and firearm charges.
He was held to appear in court.
