A 23-year-old man was brutally attacked for trying to prevent a group of boys from molesting girls at a garba event in Rajasthan's Bikaner on October 1.
A 23-year-old man was brutally attacked for trying to prevent a group of boys from molesting girls at a garba event in Rajasthan's Bikaner on October 1.
The victim, Madhusudan Modi, sustained multiple injuries in the attack and is currently undergoing treatment at the ICU in PBM hospital in Bikaner.
Madhusudan's family claims that a group of boys was trying to molest the girls when Madhusudan intervened, following which he was brutally assaulted, causing him grave injuries.
Madhusudan's father D K Modi told India Today that the accused had tried molesting some girls at the garba event even a day before the attack. "On that day, my son had a verbal argument with them," said D K Modi.

"When the boys again tried molesting some girls the next day, my son intervened. Thereafter, some 20 to 25 boys assaulted my son, causing him grievous injuries. So far, the police have arrested only person in the case. The investigation in the matter could have been expedited," said D K Modi.
Meanwhile, the district police said there is no issue of molestation and that there is no religious angle involved in the case.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
