A PCR call was received at Karawal Nagar Police station stating that a person had attacked his daughters and the injured were admitted to GTB Hospital.
On reaching the hospital, the police found that four persons (mother and three daughters) were admitted in hospital by one of their relatives.
On inquiry, it emerged that at about 7.15 a.m. on Thursday, Deep Sain had a quarrel with his wife during which he attacked her with a broken piece of windowpane. Hearing their mother's cries, the daughters intervened to save her, but the accused attacked them as well.
One of the daughters received injury on her stomach while the others received injuries on their chest and hands.
After the attack, Deep Sain ran away from the spot. The family members then called one of their relatives, who shifted them to the hospital.
During treatment, the accused's 18-year-old daughter succumbed to her injuries.
