A 22-year-old man was arrested in Uttar Pradesh for posting objectionable remarks about PM Modi in a viral video.
A 22-year-old man was arrested here for posting a video on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which objectionable remarks were purportedly made against him, police said on Sunday (February 15, 2026).
Charthawal police station SHO Satyanarayan Dahiya told reporters that the accused has been identified as Jitendra Kumar Kashyap.
Mr. Dahiya said that police have registered a case against Mr. Kashyap under Sections 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 353 (statements conducing to public mischief) of BNS and arrested him.
According to the police, they arrested on Saturday (February 14) evening after the video of the Prime Minister went viral on social media.

Mr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Minister for Information Technology and Digital Services in the DMK government, secured his second consecutive victory in 2021, following his initial win in 2016.
