Malegaon 2008 blast accused Lt Colonel Prasad Purohit has filed an application in the special NIA court, asking for the trial to be made "in-camera". An in-camera trial is the opposite of an open court trial where all parties and witnesses testify in a public courtroom.
While the court has asked the investigating agency NIA and the intervenor victim to file a reply, another accused, Sameer Kulkarni, opposed it. Kulkarni filed his reply to the application which said that the application has already been decided in 2019 and there was no need to waste judicial time on the application again.
