
Make report on farm laws, protest public: SC panel member to CJI Ramana

In an exclusive interview with India Today, Supreme Court-appointed committee member Anil Ghanwat said the panel’s report on resolution of issues surrounding farm laws and farmers’ protest should be released.
Shetkari Sanghatana president Anil Ghanwat, a member of the Supreme Court-appointed committee to resolve the issues around the three contentious farm laws, has demanded that the recommendations of the panel should be made public. He has also written a letter to Chief Justice of India NV Ramana appealing that the report of the panel should be released for implementation.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
