People must follow Covid-19 guidelines as lockdown is not a solution when it comes to controlling the surge of cases in the state, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said on Monday. Tope said that the restrictions are being tightened and urged the people to cooperate by following them. He said cases were increasing in the state but the mortality rate hasn’t shown a comparative rise. “85 per cent of the total patients have no symptoms. Most of them have been advised to quarantine themselves in their homes. As a result, there is currently no shortage of hospital beds in the state,” Tope also said.
