The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) seized raw mephedrone (MD) worth Rs 2.5 crore from Andheri (West) in Mumbai on Wednesday.
The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) seized raw mephedrone (MD) worth Rs 2.5 crore from Andheri (West) in Mumbai on Wednesday. The seizure was executed by the Juhu unit of ATS Maharashtra. Acting on a tip-off received by senior inspector Daya Nayak of ATS about a drug deal that was likely to take place today, a trap was laid at Lallubhai Park on Bharucha Road in Andheri (W).
As per the Bill, those involved in unlawful conversions on the pretext of marriage will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and shall also be liable for a fine of Rs 1 lakh. Violations in respect of a minor, a person of unsound mind, a woman or a person belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
