A woman student in Tamil Nadu's Madurai was arrested for sharing obscene videos and pictures of her hostel mates with her male friend.
A woman student in Tamil Nadu’s Madurai was arrested for allegedly sharing objectionable videos and pictures of her hostel mates with her friend. The accused, Kaleeswari, is currently pursuing a B.Ed degree at a private college.
Her friend, Ashik, is a 31-year-old man who runs a clinic in Kamuthi.
Ashik, who was married three years ago, had befriended Kaleeswari and allegedly pushed her to shoot videos of her hostel mates while they were bathing and changing their dress to share it with him.

One of Kaleeswari’s hostel mates became suspicious and her phone was confiscated by the warden. The warden reported the incident to the police after seeing the contents of her phone.
The incident took place at a hostel in Anna Nagar where Kaleeswari was staying.
A cyber crime team has initiated an investigation into the matter and arrested Ashik and Kaleeswari. Further investigation is underway.
