Madhur Bhandarkar reveals he has NOT seen Tamannaah's movies except... | Exclusive

Madhur Bhandarkar has confessed that he has only seen one Tamannaah Bhatia film. Can you guess?

After giving us hard-hitting movies like Chandni Bar, Page 3, Traffic Signal and many others, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar is gearing up to entertain us with a light-hearted slice of life film in the form of Babli Bouncer, which features Tamannaah Bhatia in the titular role. Well, watching the gorgeous actress in the role of a bouncer may turn out to be a great surprise for cinema lovers. And while fans are super excited about the movie, Madhur has revealed what made him cast Tamannaah as Babli Bouncer.

In an exclusive conversation with IndiaToday.in, Madhur Bhandarkar also confessed that he had only seen ONE Tamannaah Bhatia film. And it is none other than SS Rajamouli's Baahubali part one.

Recalling his first meeting with Tamannaah and what made him cast her in Babli Bouncer, Madhur told IndiaToday.in, "Well, Tamannaah Bhatia was a surprise package for me and it will be a treat for the audience [to see her perform]. Honestly, I have not seen any of her movies except Baahubali part 1. The suggestion came to me through Disney+ Hotstar. They said, 'why don't you meet her?' I said okay. The first time I met her, I was really impressed with her. I saw her as my protagonist. During the narration, I was looking at her and thinking about how she would be performing and how she would be in the film. And I thought she would be right for this role, the way she was and her body language. She loved the script and she really laughed. Throughout the narration, she was laughing."

Produced by Star Studios and Junglee Pictures, Babli Bouncer is directed by Madhur and stars Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead, along with Saurabh Shukla, Abhishek Bajaj and Sahil Vaid in pivotal roles. The story has been written by Amit Joshi, Aradhana Debnath and Madhur. Babli Bouncer will be released on 23rd September 2022 on Disney+ Hotstar in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
