Shibani Dandekar's unconventional wedding outfit took the internet by storm. IndiaToday.in got in touch with designer Monica Shah, who shared some exclusive details about the scene-stealing ensemble.
Shibani Dandekar and Farhan Akhtar finally shared dreamy photos from their wedding ceremony with their fans. Held at Javed Akhtar’s farmhouse in Khandala, it was one fun-filled intimate affair amid a galore of blooming florals. However, it was Shibani Dandekar’s unconventional wedding outfit that took the cake for us.
The actress rocked a red custom-designed corset top with a voguish skirt from the label Jade by Monica and Karishma. The red-on-beige ensemble featured a floor-sweeping train and a dramatic veil as well.
Shibani’s wedding wardrobe finally emerged as a whiff of freshness after we recently saw an array of celebrity brides swearing by the fool-proof red lehenga looks. IndiaToday.in got in touch with Monica Shah, co-founder and creative director of Jade, who spilled the beans about Shibani’s scene-stealing bridal outfit.
WHAT SHIBANI DANDEKAR WORE?
Shibani opted for a modern corset and skirt with a veil for her wedding while retaining the traditional bridal colour. She embraced a mix of contemporary and traditional aesthetics. “The entire ensemble is handcrafted from special French Chantilly Lace by our master artisans on our signature Vermillion Red palette,” Monica revealed.
She also revealed that the trail of Shibani’s skirt was almost about 3 meters long. That’s not all. The sheer red veil that added a hearty dose of drama to her wedding look was 5 meters in length and 100 inches in width. So princessy!
