
LeT commander Nisar Das killed, 2 Army jawans injured in separate encounter in J&K

Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Nisar Dar, was killed in an encounter by the Indian army in the Sirhama Region of Kashmir’s Anantanag district, while another encounter is going on against two Hizbul militants trapped in the DH Pora area of Kulgam.
A Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander was killed and two army soldiers were hurt in two encounters in two districts of Kashmir on Saturday, April 9.
LeT commander Nisar Dar was killed in an encounter in the Sirhama region of Kashmir’s Anantanag district. Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, has said that searches are still ongoing in the region.
A second encounter is ongoing in Kulgam’s DH Pora where police and security forces believe two militants belonging to Hizbul are trapped.
Two soldiers have also been injured in the incident. Encounters have also begun in the Chaki Samad region of Kulgam. An unidentified LeT has also been reportedly killed in Kulgam.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
