Lenovo Legion Slim 7 ultra-slim gaming laptop launched in India for Rs 1.5 lakh

Lenovo Legion Slim 7 ultra-slim gaming laptop launched in India for Rs 1.5 lakh

India Today
Monday, February 28, 2022 10:51:48 AM UTC

Legion Slim 7 attempts at making Lenovo's gaming laptops more portable, with an ultra-slim design and a weight under 2 kilograms. Here is a look at what the new Lenovo laptop has on offer for Indian gamers.

Lenovo has launched a new gaming laptop under its Legion lineup in India, a year after the global debut of the device. The company claims it to be one of the world's slimmest gaming laptops. Named Lenovo Legion Slim 7, the laptop weighs just under 2 kilograms and comes with the latest AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics.

As can be understood from the company's big claim, Lenovo Legion Slim 7 has been designed to increase the portability of its powerful laptop format. For this, the device weighs just under 2 kilograms and measures just 0.74 inches at its widest point. Note that this does not make it the world's slimmest gaming laptop, as the Dell Alienware x14 launched earlier this month is only 0.57-inches wide and thus beats the Legion Slim 7 to the title.

Regardless, the Legion Slim 7 has its own set of perks. For instance, it comes with a pre-installed Windows 11 and sports a WQHD display that boasts a 165 Hz refresh rate. Lenovo has also equipped it with Legion's in-house technologies, like Legion AI Engine, Legion Coldfront 3.0, and more. Here is a more detailed look at everything that the Legion Slim 7 comes with.

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 comes in Shadow Black colour and is available at a price of Rs 1,44,990. The laptop will retail through Lenovo.com, Lenovo Exclusive stores, and all online and offline channel partners starting February 28, 2022.

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 comes with a 15.6-inch WQHD IPS display with 300 nits brightness complemented by Dolby Vision and anti-glare protection. As mentioned, it offers up to a 165Hz refresh rate for a smooth gaming experience.

The Lenovo laptop is powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H mobile processor, which is coupled to the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU with a Total Graphics Power of up to 100W. Lenovo highlights that the GPU comes with Ray Tracing cores, Tensor Cores, and streaming multiprocessors so as to deliver realistic ray-traced graphics and AI enhancements.

Memory onboard includes two 8GB DDR4-3200 RAMs. While one of these is soldered to the system board, the other can be fit in SO-DIMM slot and can be expanded up to 16GB. There is also a 1TB SSD on the Legion Slim 7. The laptop runs Windows 11 right out of the box.
