Lalu Prasad convicted in fifth fodder scam case

The case pertains to withdrawing money to the tune of ₹139.35 crore from Doranda treasury in the erstwhile united Bihar.
A special CBI court has convicted former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad in the ₹139.35 crore Doranda treasury embezzlement case on Tuesday. Prasad has already been convicted in four other cases of the fodder scam. This is the fifth and final case.
The RJD supremo arrived in Ranchi on Sunday to be physically present in the court during the hearing.
The court on January 29 had completed hearing arguments in the Rs 139.35 crore Doranda treasury embezzlement case involving Prasad and had reserved its verdict.
