Kunal Nayyar has revealed that he frequently donates anonymously to families struggling with medical bills, saying wealth has given him the freedom to give back rather than becoming a burden. In an old interview now going viral on X, The The Big Bang Theory star is seen sharing that one of his favourite acts of kindness is quietly paying off GoFundMe campaigns at night.

Speaking to The i Paper in December 2025, Nayyar opened up about his relationship with money, especially in light of reports that estimate his net worth at USD 45 million. Contrary to assumptions that such wealth might feel overwhelming, he said it does not “weigh heavy" on him.

Instead, he explained, “money has given me greater freedom and the greatest gift is the ability to give back, to change people’s lives."

Over the years, Nayyar and his wife, former beauty queen Neha Kapur, have quietly funded college scholarships for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Their charitable work also extends to animal welfare causes.

He added, “We also support animal charities because we love dogs. But what I really love to do is go on GoFundMe at night and just pay random families’ medical bills. That’s my masked vigilante thing! So, no, money doesn’t feel like a burden. It feels like a grace from the universe.”

“Right now, people are not happy because we are all expecting someone else to be kind. We are expecting a president or a politician, some leader, to come and bring us world peace," he said.
