Kolkata Metro Railway installs 10 automated ticket vending and smart card recharge machines

Kolkata Metro Railway has installed 10 automated ticket vending and smart card recharge machines at metro stations.
Queues at the ticket counters of Kolkata metro stations will go down significantly as Kolkata Metro Railway has installed more automated ticket vending and smart card recharge machines.
10 Automatic Smart Card Recharge Machines (ASCRM) have been set up. These machines have been installed at nine north-south metro stations.
In a press release, Kolkata Metro Railway said, “Metro users can avail ASCRM for recharging their smart cards and can buy tokens from these machines which have been installed at Dumdum, Central, Esplanade, Park Street, Maidan, Kaighat, Rabindra Sarobor, Mahanayak Uttam Kumar and Kavi Subhas.”
Metro officials said it is an initiative to ease the metro commute for passengers. Initially, ASCRM was installed at just two metro stations and authorities plan to install more machines in the near future, an official said.
