Vava Suresh, the snake catcher from Kerala renowned for rescuing snakes from human habitats, was bitten by a cobra on Monday. His condition remains critical.
Suresh was trying to capture a cobra in Kurichi, Kottayam when the snake bit him on his right leg. He was rushed to a hospital.
Vava Suresh was called upon to capture the snake that showed up in the locality three days ago. Suresh is currently under treatment at a private hospital. Vava Suresh has been on a ventilator twice and has survived several snake bites in the past.
His condition remains critical and will be shifted to Kottayam Medical College for ventilator support.
