A man in Kerala's Kollam district claimed that his daughter was asked to remove her innerwear before entering the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) examination centre. He has filed a complaint with the Kottarakara police and said that female NEET aspirants were asked to remove their innerwears before sitting for their exam.
The candidates were forced to remove innerwear before entering the examination centre in Chathamangalam, he claimed.
The complaint said that the students were mentally tortured and the dress code by the National Testing Agency (NTA) does not suggest removal of innerwear. The girl's father said that 90 per cent of students were asked to remove their innerwears before taking the exam and were asked to dump them in a store room.
The centre in Kerala's Marthoma Institute of Information Technology has denied responsibility.
The complainant said, "After the primary inspection, my daughter was told that the hook of inners were detected by the metal detector and she was asked to remove it. Almost 90 per cent of female candidates had to remove their innerwear and keep it in a store room. The candidates were mentally disturbed while giving the exam."
