
Kerala Congress president condemns Idukki student activist's murder

The Kerala Congress chief, K Sudhakaran, said that the Congress party would never encourage murder politics. This comes a day after an SFI youth activist and student was stabbed to death in Kerala’s Idukki district.
Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president K Sudhakaran on Tuesday, January 11, said that the Congress party will never encourage murder politics. He further alleged that the communist party, which acts like the spokespersons of murder politics, has no right to point fingers at others. He was addressing the media in Kannur.
The statements come a day after a youth worker and activist of the Students' Federation of India (SFI) was stabbed to death allegedly following a conflict during a college election in Kerala's Idukki district. The deceased was identified as Dheeraj, a Kannur native.

Amid preparations for an engagement and haldi ceremony in Maharashtra's Dhule district, an argument broke out between two groups over the printing of names on a wedding invitation card, during which three people were attacked with sharp weapons and killed. Three others were injured and are undergoing treatment.
