'Kerala CM smuggled foreign currency into UAE': Customs quotes prime accused in showcause notice

In the Kerala smuggling case, prime accused Swapna Suresh told the Customs department that Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and former assembly speaker P Sreeramakrishnan smuggled foreign currency into the UAE. The Customs have quoted her in the showcase notice issued to the accused on July 29. In her statement, Swapna Suresh said that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and former assembly speaker P Sreeramakrishnan sent foreign currency to UAE via Ahmed Al Doukhi, a diplomat at the Consul General office, and Consul General Jamal Al Zaabi respectively.
