As March break comes to an end, there are lots of fun events happening on the weekend in Waterloo region, Guelph and Wellington County.
The Great Canadian Fiddle Show is taking place at the Fergus Grand Theatre on Sunday afternoon.
Laurier's Faculty of Music will mark its 50th anniversary with gala concerts on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.
Sing in Solidarity is a free event at Trillium Lutheran Church in Waterloo (but is being organized by several local churches, choirs and groups) where people are invited to come and simply sing with others. It's described as an intercultural, intergenerational and interfaith event that aims to help people who feel anxious or powerless given the news happening around the world.
Build some forts at a drop-in program at the McCormick branch of the Waterloo Public Library Saturday afternoon. Building materials to create all kinds of creative structures will be available for people during the Geodesic Dome and Fort Building Bonanza.
The Kitchener Rangers wrap up the regular season this weekend. They're home at The Aud Friday night to the Sarnia Sting before going to Owen Sound on Saturday.
The Guelph Storm host the Owen Sound Attack Friday night at the Sleeman Centre before travelling to face the Erie Otters.
The K-W Titans are away this weekend in Sudbury.

This free, drop-in event includes a reading of Kenzie's Little Tree by author Alison McGauley, followed by a performance by Cambridge indie rock band The Relative Minors.
There will also be a craft that kids can take home with them.
