The Karnataka government plans to administer five lakh Covid-19 vaccine shots a day starting September 1. Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday announced the state’s plans to inoculate half a million people a day to reach the set target of inoculating Karnataka’s total population eligible for Covid shots. The announcement comes days after Basavaraj Bommai met Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya during his recent Delhi trip. The CM briefed Mandaviya on Karnataka’s vaccination plan and requested the Union government to supply the requisite doses.
