Launching a scathing attack on the Karnataka government for introducing the Karnataka Societies Registration Act (1960) (Amendment) Bill, a Congress MLA on Tuesday said that the state government is trying to "control the minority societies". While opposing the bill, Congress MLA Zameer Ahmed Khan said, "The government is trying to take a back door entrance into minority societies and want to control it. We won't let it happen." The amendment indents the government to appoint an administrator to oversee operations of the societies, which also includes minority societies.More Related News
