Police arrested eight people in Karnataka’s Bagalkot district after clashes broke out between two religious groups in Ilkal town. The incident occurred after a 15-year-old boy teased his friend for wearing a skull cap.

According to reports, the upset kid went back and complained to his other friends. The group assaulted the boy who had made fun of their friend and slapped him. In retaliation, the teenager who got slapped complained to his friends in a Hindu organisation about being attacked, following which they assaulted the boy who was wearing the skull cap.
