
Karnataka BJP unit forms 3 teams to tour state ahead of 2023 elections

Ahead of the 2023 elections in Karnataka, the state BJP has formed three teams to tour select parts of the state. The teams of the BJP election tour will be headed by CM Bommai, Lok Sabha MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and senior BJP leader Arun Singh.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Karnataka has formed three teams to tour select parts of the state, one year ahead of the scheduled Karnataka elections in May 2023. The election tour will also include regular party-building activities and also involve interaction with the BJP workers from respective areas.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai is expected to head one team, while Dakshina Kannada MP, Nalin Kumar Kateel, will head another team. BJP’s national general secretary, Arun Singh, will head the final team.
Ministers and MLAs will be part of each team, and BS Yediyurappa is expected to be in Arun Singh's team.
Here is the list of districts expected to be covered in the election tour: Bangalore city, Bangalore rural, Shivamogga, Mysore, Bellary, Belagavi, Kalburgi and Dakshina Kannada.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
