Karan Johar confirms Koffee with Karan will not return. Fans say 'Tell me this is a prank'

It was on Karan Johar’s popular chat show Koffee With Karan, that many juicy industry scoops came to the limelight. The show, which commenced in 2004, saw its last season in 2019. In case you are wondering why we said 'last', Karan took to social media and announced that Koffee With Karan will not be returning. This comes after several gossips around the show’s return have been doing the rounds on the web.

Karan Johar, on May 4, announced that his once-popular chat show Koffee With Karan, will not be returning anymore. And fans are disheartened, to say the least. Of late, several rumours indicated that KJo will start shooting for Koffee With Karan post wrapping Alia Bhatt-Ranveer Singh’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Taking to social media, Karan posted an official announcement regarding Koffee With Karan.

Karan’s note could be read, “Hello, Koffee With Karan has been a part of my life, and yours, for 6 seasons now. I'd like to think we've made an impact and even found our place in pop culture history. And so, it is with a heavy heart that I announce that Koffee with Karan will not be returning (sic)."

Koffee With Karan had its own loyalists and fans were disheartened with Karan Johar’s announcement. Comments and tweets such as “Oh no (sic)”, “Damn (sic)”, “Waapis le aao sir...meri chhotu si steel wait kar rahi thi (sic)”, “Pls noooooo (sic)”, “Tell me this is a prank!!!! (sic)”, “No way I was excited for the next season (sic)”, “Why why why (sic)”, were showered on Karan’s post.
