Kanpur village sees 11 suspected dengue deaths in 15 days, villagers lock homes and leave

In Kursauli village of Uttar Pradesh, 13 people died over the last 25 days. While the villagers have claimed the deaths were caused by dengue, the administration has denied this. Many villagers have locked their homes and left in fear.
In Kursauli village in Kanpur Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, thirteen people died over the last 25 days. Of these, eleven deaths occurred in a span of fifteen days. The deaths are suspected to be due to dengue and neither the young nor the old have been spared.
In fear, more than half the villagers have locked their homes and left Kursauli and an eerie silence has befallen the streets. As of now, more than thirty patients are admitted at hospitals.
