Kannada actor Sanchari Vijay to be cremated with state honours

On Tuesday (June 15), Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa took to Twitter to announce that the last rites of Sanchari Vijay will be performed with state honours.
National Award-winning Kannada actor Sanchari Vijay died on Monday, June 14. He met with a road accident on June 12, after which he was admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru. On Tuesday, Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa announced on Twitter that the last rites of the actor will be performed with state honours. Earlier on Monday, Sanchari Vijay was declared brain-dead and his family decided to donate his organs. Sanchari Vijay’s family decided to perform the actor’s last rites in their hometown at Kaduru in Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka. Kaduru is 250 km away from Bengaluru. The actor will be laid to rest at a farm owned by his friend Raghu in Panchanahalli, near Kadur. On Tuesday, Karnataka CM took to Twitter to announce that the Nathicharami actor will be cremated with state honours. In the tweet, he wrote in Kannada that can be loosely translated to, “The funeral of nationally acclaimed actor Sanchari Vijay will be held with police honours. With gratitude, family members donate their organs and offer their sincere condolences to talented artist Sanchari Vijay (sic).”More Related News
