Praising BJP workers, Congress leader Kamal Nath said the reason why the party loses elections is because its workers have to be told to work, which is not the case with the saffron party.
Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Kamal Nath on Friday told Congress workers to take a leaf out of their BJP counterparts’ notebooks on how to fight elections and take the initiative when it comes to doing party work.
Addressing the state unit’s Panchayati Raj Institution Cell at the party office in Bhopal on Friday, Nath said the only reason the Congress loses elections is because its workers have to be asked to work, which is not the case with the saffron party.
“You have to work yourself. In the BJP, no one goes to tell the people on the ground that they have to go here or there and do so-and-so work. BJP workers do it on their own, whereas the only drawback in the Congress is that people keep waiting for someone to tell them what to do,” he said.
The former chief minister also commended the strategy and management of the BJP organisation when it comes to contesting elections, telling party workers that, “Our competition is not only with the BJP, but with the BJP organisation. If we lose, it’s not the BJP, but the organisation that defeats us. If we are likewise determined, then no one can stop the Congress.”
