Kai Po Che, a dream Bollywood debut for Sushant Singh Rajput. On Monday Masala
India Today
Sushant Singh Rajput made his Bollywood debut with Kai Po Che. Monday (June 14) marks the actor’s first death anniversary.
“Sushant ki khaasiyat thi ki woh jo karne ka soch leta tha, woh kar leta tha," Navya, Sushant Singh Rajput's school friend had said in an interview. This quote summarises Sushant Singh Rajput and his outlook towards life. He had secured 7th rank in the engineering entrance examination, earned himself a seat in the Delhi College of Engineering and a scholarship from Stanford University. However, he left it all behind to pursue a career in showbiz. He joined television and became a household name with his role in Pavitra Rishta. Being a risktaker, Sushant didn't want to limit himself to television alone. So, in 2013, he entered Bollywood with his debut film Kai Po Che. On Sushant's first death anniversary, we dedicate this week's Monday Masala to the late actor and remember his remarkable performance in Kai Po Che. Much like in real life, Sushant's character, Ishaan, is a dreamer in Kai Po Che. He didn't take the conventional route of becoming an engineer or a doctor. Instead, he sweated it out on the field to become a district-level cricket player - the kind who eats, breathes and sleeps with his bat. Ishaan's passion for cricket is such that despite being a victim of the selection committee politics, he doesn't lose his love for the game.More Related News
