Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda's Hyderabad reception will see a star-studded guest list that includes celebrities from the Telugu film industry and Bollywood.
Actor-couple Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda, who got married on February 26, are set to host a reception in Hyderabad on March 4. While stars from the Telugu industry, including Allu Arjun and Ram Charan, are expected to be at the reception, sources confirm that Sreeleela, Karan Johar, Mrunal Thakur, and Rashmika's Cocktail 2 team -- Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and filmmaker Homi Adjania -- will also attend the reception. The event will be held at Taj Krishna, 7 pm tonight.
Earlier, the couple had released a statement mentioning how the reception would be a strictly invite-only do and, as per advice by the police, the guest list has been further restricted.
"Your safety and happiness mean everything to us. We are deeply thankful for your love and blessings, and we request your cooperation in helping us keep this celebration safe and joyful for everyone (sic)," the couple wrote, reflecting their gratitude and reinforcing the need for cooperation from guests and fans.
Police, event organisers and the families agreed on the stricter guest list, citing the potential for crowding and traffic issues. They added that if necessary, additional receptions may be considered at a later stage to accommodate well-wishers in a more structured manner. The couple’s approach seeks to balance public enthusiasm with logistical realities.
The wedding, held in Udaipur, was a private affair attended only by close family and select friends. The ceremonies honoured both Telugu and Kodava traditions, reflecting Vijay and Rashmika's backgrounds. In addition to this, Rashmika and Vijay celebrated their wedding with the nation at large. On March 1, trucks carrying mithai were sent to major cities, including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad. The couple also organised Annadanam at 16 temples across India, sharing their happiness with communities countrywide.
