“The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart mocked Fox News’ Jesse Watters on Thursday for declaring that the Democratic National Convention was the “most boring scene” he’s witnessed in his entire life earlier this week.
“Oooh, so boring, I forgot what a daredevil like you is. I forgot that your life is a never ending joy ride of talking to Brit Hume in between catheter ads on Fox,” quipped Stewart during a live, post-DNC episode in Chicago.
Stewart noted that even the conservative network “had to acknowledge” the convention was nothing but “fire emoji” this week.
Most of Fox News “was admitting defeat,” he said — except for Watters, who “bravely continued the pretense that the convention was going badly, even when the footage right next to his fucking head disagreed.”
Stewart tossed to a clip of Watters describing a not-so-“jubilant” scene at the DNC with “empty” seats, despite footage from the convention’s roll call showing Democrats smiling and cheering while a DJ danced and played music.
The 47-year-old model opened up about the actor’s favorite seasonal activities in the years before his diagnosis.
