The late night host said the president's latest merch might mean something a little different than what people think.
Jimmy Kimmel said President Donald Trump admitted over the weekend that he’s not actually considering trying to run again in 2028.
“Which is good, because it’s against the law,” Kimmel pointed out.
But he said Trump’s “sycophants” in Congress have talked about trying to change the laws so he can run again, and Trump himself is selling 2028 merch such as hats.
“It’s still so weird the president sells hats,” Kimmel said. “It’s like we put the manager of a Hot Topic in charge of the country.”
But Kimmel said those “Trump 2028” hats might be for an “entirely different” Trump running for office: Eric Trump, one of the president’s three sons.
The "Tonight Show" host even pulled in the Vatican for his punch line.
The late night host torched a key claim the president frequently makes.
"It feels real now," he said.
