
Jaishankar, UAE counterpart discuss terror attack; EAM conveys India’s support

The foreign minister of the UAE shared the details of the attack with Jaishankar and conveyed the deepest condolences of his government on the deaths of the two Indians.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday strongly condemned the terror attack in the UAE during his telephonic conversation with the Gulf country’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and asserted that India will stand with the UAE in international forums on the issue, given its principled position against terrorism. Al Nahyan called up Jaishankar and expressed condolences over the loss of Indian lives in the terror attack in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
